I completed clinical training in 1987 and have over 30 years’ experience in applied Clinical Health Psychology, specialising in the management of chronic conditions. From 2001 – 2008 I worked for a number of NHS national support teams, specialising in clinical governance and patient involvement. During this time, I held an honorary contract with North

In October 2008 I was appointed Professional Lead for Clinical Health Psychology by NHS Birmingham East and North. This post incorporated clinical sessions in a multidisciplinary Pain Clinic. From December 2010 until I retired from full time NHS work in March 2015, my employing organisation was Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Trust. I currently hold part time contracts with a number of NHS Pain and other clinical services.
